Sorry to all who did not get their emails answered yesterday.  I had to take a half of a day sick time.  Will try to answer all of them today.  I am still putting together the proposed Rule chnages and will try to have them on the blog Friday.

Aug 20, 2011-001 - Red River, NM CASI. Hot Chili Days... Cool Chili Nights Four Corners Regional CASI Chili Cook off. This years event is being hosted by the New Mexico Chili Society. This 3-day music, BBQ and Chili event will once again be held in Brandenburg Park (adjacent to the Red River Conference Center) in quaint downtown Red River. The weekend is comprised of the Larry Joe Taylor music festival, the Lone Star BBQ competition, the 4- Corners Regional CASI Red Chili cook off, the State of New Mexico Green Chili Championship, the "Open" Salsa competition and the "Open" Chili competition. The fees are as follows: $20 for the first chili or salsa category and $10 for every additional chili/salsa category. All cooks that sign-up and pay by August 5, 2011 will receive a $5 discount on their first chili/salsa category meaning the "first category" fee is $15 for those that sign-up early. Go North on Kentucky Ave, turn right on Tibbs. Registration 9:00 AM, Cooks meeting at 10:00 AM. CASI turn-in 1:00 PM. Entry fee $20.00. Other categories include: Home-style Chili $15 ($10 w/CASI entry), Jr's Chili $5. Make checks payable to the Indiana Pepper Pod. Music Fest and Classic Car Show on site during the cook-off. The VFW is located 600 ft on the right. VETS 4 PETS is a joint project of VFW Post 846 and its Ladies and Men's Auxiliaries whose mission is to provide or to help provide a service dog for a local veteran in need of a service dog. KSDS is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization providing canine assistance to individuals with disabilities located in Washington, KS. CASI Rules apply. Chili Grind only.
