From Doc Kinnison:
The Highland Lakes Pod thanks everyone for traveling to Beautiful Marble Falls, TX for HOWDY-ROO. Thanks to all that came early to help get the party started and stayed to helped cleanup. Congratulations to all the winners.

The park started filling up on Wednesday. Thursday everyone pitched in to get the park setup. On Friday the golf tournament had five teams of determined golfers tee it up for "The Bird." After much discussion about the scores and the rules of golf...the winners of the Traveling Bird "Bogy" are Frank Fox, Cary Plocheck, Steve Cloninger and Gilbert Butscheck. Friday night cooks party was donated by Northwood Healthcare Center serving a delicious meal of King Ranch Chicken, black beans and tacos. We had a generous amount of deserts, horsdoeuvres and margaritas. We danced the night away with music by Nigel Delgado. The weather was perfect on Saturday for the CCO. Sundays Backbone Creek CCO was also a big success with 50 CASI chilies.

From Roger Foltz:
Correct info is that 6:45 is  load out at Lone Star park CCO. Load out can be done after announcements, about 3:30 to 4.  This will be a great first time event, with a lot of fun activities for all. Remember you'll get passes for 10 friends, and live racing doesn't start till about 1:30, which is 30 minutes before chili turn in, so your friends don't have to come early. Bring some extra chili for the crowd, Lone Star Park will be selling tasting cups to raise money for their charity.
