Scholarship Recipients Reminder
This is a reminder to all current scholarship recipients. You will need to send a copy of your grades from the Fall 2009 and Spring 2010 semesters to the Scholarship Program Administrator by June 15, 2010. I will be looking at whether or not you have completed a minimum of 12 semester hours each semester and have maintained a minimum GPA of 2.5. I must have copies of these grades in order to issue your fall scholarship checks. You can send these copies through the postal mail or by email. Hopefully, we will be able to issue the checks in August, 2010, prior to the beginning of the fall semester. Good luck to each and every one of you in your educational endeavors.

The American Legion Post 12 4th Annual Chili Cook Off in Tyler went off without any prodicted rain. The Sun came out and it was a pretty day!

I have obtained sponsorship from Lajitas Golf Resort & Spa. It is Located between Big Bend National Park and Big Bend Ranch State Park. You can visit their site at at http://www.lajitas.com/.
I have also acquired a sponsorship from Far Flung Outdoor Center for the coming year.
The Friends of CASI sponsor program is coming along nicely. I am now at the $8,000 level with a goal of $11,500.

Poster Rules and Guidelines
CASI is looking for a unique, creative design that embodies the essence of TICC and CASI. Artwork must be original and should include bold colors.
The dimensions of the two posters will be 18” X 24” and 11” X 17”. Submissions do not need to be that size, but they must maintain that proportion. The 11” x 17” poster is an informational poster. Copies of last years posters will be made available in PDF format upon request. These posters may be used as a guideline for some of the content required in the design.
Winning designs may also be used for souvenir TICC shirts.
All entries should include in the title, “44 Annual Terlingua International Chili Championship”, and the date, “November 6, 2010”. It must also list the names of the current Board members and include the CASI logo.
Designs must be sent electronically in a standard graphic format (PDF or JPG).
Pictures of last year’s winners and sponsor logos will be made available and must be added to the poster design before printing. Changes to the wording and design may be requested by the Board.
If selected, the artwork becomes the sole property of CASI and the Terlingua International Chili Championship and may or may not be used in any manner CASI desires. The winning designer will receive credit with their name included on the final product.
Submission deadline will be June 20th. Entries must be sent to Janice Miller, 3014 Oak Mountain Trail, San Angelo, TX 76904 or garjans@suddenlink.net. Winning entries will be chosen at the Board of Directors Meeting in Arlington, Texas on June 26, 2010.
