There is not much news today, but it is Wednesday and it is time to advertise the CCOs for this weekend.

Mar 13, 2010-001 - Caballo, NM CASI. Annual Caballo Eagles Aerie. Exit I-25 at the Caballo Lake State Park exit. Drive in a westerly direction for two miles. Look for the U.S. Flag. This is the Eagles Aerie Lodge. RV spaces with full hook-ups are available on a first come, first served basis for a minimal fee. Unlimited dry camping is available. Breakfast and lunch on Saturday are provided for a minimal fee. Entry fee $20.00. Make checks payable to the NMCS. Turn-in time 2:00 p.m. Contact Tom Chaney 915-449-4064.

Mar 13, 2010-002 - Sweetwater, TX CASI. Rattle Snake Round Up Sweetwater Jaycees
Rattlesnake Round-Up Cookoff. Held in Newman Park, next to the Nolan County Coliseum. Benefits local Youth Organizations. Entry fee $25,  The chili turn-in time at the Sweetwater Rattlesnake Round-up on March 13th has been changed from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Make checks payable to Sweetwater Jaycees. Mar 13, 2010-003 - Tyler, TX CASI. 11th Semi Annual Tyler Elks Lodge CCO. Held at 13618 State Hwy 31 W, across from Goodyear plant. Benefits scholarships, veterans and other Elks charities. Turn-in time 1:00 PM. Entry fee $20. Checks payable to Tyler Elks Lodge Information contact: Betty Horbelt, 11575 F. M. 2016 Tyler, Tx 75706 903-595-2575, Lodge: 903-592-6508 after 4:30 Thursday, Friday or Saturdays. Meat, Chili grind only. Cooks dinner Friday at 6 PM. Bring extra chili for Peoples Choice. Bean turn-in Noon, entry fee $5. winner splits the pot. Awards for chili, showmanship and peoples choice. This is the third cookoff in the 1st Ever Bob Conley Memorial Challenge. The cook with the most points at the end of the 4 weekends in a row in Tyler cookoffs (Feb. 27, Mar 6, Mar13 & Mar 20) will receive a Wendell Rankin hand-painted stove commemorating this event. So make plans to be at all 4 cookoffs in Tyler for the trophy to be awarded at the Tyler Rotary Cookoff on March 20. See more info in Trails.

Mar 13, 2010-006 - Comfort, TX CASI. Hermann Sons Retirement Home CCO Held at Hermann Sons Retirement Home for Hermann Sons Scholarship Fund. Entry fee $20 turn-in 2 PM Jackpot Beans $10, turn in at noon. Amateur chili $15, turn in at 1p.m. Friday evening cooks party. RVs welcome - no hookups. Contact Edward Albrecht 830-995-2724.

Mar 13, 2010-007 - Nicksville, AZ CASI. 25th Annual Nick's Place St. Pat's/ Camp where you cook, lots of local hotels within 10 min of site. Cooks dinner nite before. Entry fee $20. Benefits Special Olympics AZ. Turn-in at 2:00 pm. Cookoff site is on Hwy 92 South, eight miles south of Sierra Vista, AZ.
