From Sharon Pennel:
Hi Ladies,
The decision has been made that dessert will not be bought for Friday night’s dinner at Texas Ladies State. So I am asking if you would like to bake a cake, cookies, brownies or something for dessert? The main meal will be chicken and/or beef fajitas. I am going to bake a cake and freeze it. If you can bake something please let me know. We can always use leftovers for Saturday’s pot luck. J Thank you in advance for your consideration and contribution. Love and hugs, Sharon

From Cindy George:
Hi Everyone!
If you are coming to Texas Men's State on March 27 and 28th, we are looking for Table Monitors for both days! Your assistance will be greatly appreciated by all the cooks and the MSCC staff. Please let me know as soon as you can! We will have numerous levels.  Thanks Bunches, Cindy George

From Blu Daniels:
All cooks for the Rose City Chili Cookoff in Tyler who are staying over Saturday night are invited to our Popcorn Bar after the Margarita contest. Judging for the Margaritas will commence approx. 7:00 ,presentation counts (just like Showmanship). If you are entered, then you are a judge. If you are not entering and want to judge, then a $2 donation will be collected. And I firmly believe, with all the interest we have had that $2 will be worth the take. This is for the chili cooks, all others will pay $5. Popcorn Bar at Big John and Blu's big white bus will be open for everyone while the tallying takes place and winner will be announced. A very nice gift basket is being assembled for 1st place.

Update on My Father:  Several people have asked about my Father.  He is in a Rehab facility and is working hard to gain strength.  He is down to 110 lbs (he is 6 foot tall).  He has a great attitude, but his body is not responding very quickly to the PT.  They tell me he is motivated and is really trying, but they are not sure at his age that he will ever be able to gain the muscle strength to ever be able to walk.  He was flat in bed for over 30 days.  Yesterday he told me that he never imagined that he would ever be this weak.  THANKS for the prayers, the inquiries, support and the encouragement.  Mother and I still spend part of every day with him and he is always excited by the visits from our friends.  He still believes that he will be able to get strong enough to come home.  We are far from "out of the woods!"
