If you have never attended this cookoff you're missing something. They have a wonderful time with lots of local participation and the auction after announcements is incredible. They have a variety of items. There is something for everyone. I'll need help with judging if you are interested. CASI Chili $20.00 turn in 1:00 PM. 50/50 Beans $5.00 turn in 12:00. Peoples Choice ballots turn in 2:00 PM. Bring extra Chili for tasting. Goodie Bags for the first 25 entrants. May 21, 2011-002 - Salado, TX CASI. 1st Annual Old Salado Springs Chili Cookoff on the Creek in the heart of Salado, 200 Royal St off Main St. Beans $10. 50/50 turn in noon Chili-$20.00 turn in 2 pm. Chili grind only. Lots of RV parking with no hoop-ups. This is day one of a two day cook-off.  You can come in after noon on Friday. Sat night pop luck. May 21, 2011-003 - Irving, TX CASI. 32nd Annual TOT Pod Kickoff CCO Held at Irving Elks Lodge, 2015 N. Britian Rd. There will be a major goody bag item for the first 75 cooks registered. Jackpot Beans $5, turn in 12 PM. Junior Chili free entry, turn in 12 PM. CASI Chili $20, turn in 2 PM. Overnight camping, limited hookups available for a small fee. There will be a Friday night cooks party. Cash breakfast, lunch & bar will be available on Saturday. There will be a Pot luck dinner Saturday night. May 21, 2011-005 - Anthony, NM CASI. Tom and Michele's Backyard CCO. Come and enjoy the "Sun and Sangria" at Tom and Michele's 2nd Annual chili cookoff. This is a NMCS POD Cookoff. From I- 10, take Hwy 404 West to Hwy 478. Turn Left and continue on Hwy 478 South to Whispering Dove. Turn right on Whispering Dove and follow paved road to cookoff. Entry fee is $20.00 payable to the New Mexico Chili Society. Turn-in is at 4:00pm. Dry camping is available both Friday and Saturday. Pot luck cooks party Saturday night following awards. There will be a band all day,a  50/50 raffle, a raffle and a auction. Entry fee $20 with turn-in at 2:30 PM. In memory of Bo Bodine. Poker run registration begins at 9 AM. Pays best hand, 2nd best hand and worst hand. Benefits the Texas Elks children's summer camp for children 7 to 15 yrs with special needs. 1st bike out 10 AM, last bike back by 3 PM. Unwrapped Toys needed, such as board games, balls, jump ropes, and pool toys. If you can't bring a toy, a $10 donation will be accepted. RV Parking, but no hook-ups. Benefits: Tawakoni South VFD, Turn-in for Chili is 1 PM, with a$20 entry fee. Turn in for Beans is 2:00 Noon and the entry fee is $5.00, with a 50-50 payback.
