From John Goforth:
CASI Members,

I will not be seeking re-election to the CASI Board of Directors this September. It has been a great privilege to have had the opportunity to serve on the board for two terms but I feel it is time to step aside and let others lead the way. I have enjoyed being able to interact with our membership in various capacities enforcing the ideal that we are a truly strong and vibrant collection of individuals dedicated to our motto, "CHILI, CHARITY, AND FUN". My support for CASI will remain, but will be in a reduced role. Thank you for giving me the chance to work for you.

From Ron Barnes:

Top of Texas Pod Chili Champions Challenge.

Who can participate? If you have placed 1st in chili at an automatic TICC qualifier, placed in the top 10 at TICC or are a past winner of the Top of Texas Pod cookoff you are eligible to participate.

What is it about? This is a side bet between those eligible to see who places highest in the Pod cookoff. No extra cups to judge or extra judges needed...we will use the official cookoff results to determine the winner.

What do I have to do? See Doris Coats at the Registration table this Saturday at the Irving Elks Lodge and pay her your $10 entry. See if you can earn bragging rights (and a good little chunk of change)! This is not in place of the standard cook's pot..that will still be there.

Thanks
Ron Barnes
