A note from Jim Ezell:

The web site was misspelled. It is http://www.mexene.com/

Please visit it. (Editorial: I have added it to the Links)

From Bill Pierson:

The Pierson household has a reason to Party this weekend! Cheryl had her last chemo treatment today. We knew before today, but when she left, the Oncologist pronounced her CANCER FREE!

From Dave Hewlett:

Here are the details for the Ponderosa Nudist Camp CCO scheduled for Aug 15 – 16.

I suggested to Gayle that charging $20 for entry to the cooks for Friday was not a real good idea. She said she would talk to her boss but I suspect he is not going to change.

In summary, they have waived the $35/day entry fee for Sat and Sun for the cooks and one guest. The camping has been reduced to $17/night.

I suspect that is the best we can get at this time.

GP’s please forward to the members if you would.

Renee Moore announced as Alabama’s City Clerk of the Year!

By Dale Jones as reported on at Baldwin ountyNOW.com Saturday, July 11, 2009GULF SHORES, Ala.

"In many instances, the office of city clerk is the most detailed position in local politics. Serving the mayor, the council and working with the many different department heads, the city clerk serves a multitude of functions. While many view this position as the person who simply calls roll and keeps minutes at city council meetings, there is much more to the position than that.

Dealing with legal documents, helping to administer city contracts, and as the official keeper of city records, it takes a special person to do this job.

City Clerk Renee Moore is an important part of what goes on at City Hall in Gulf Shores, and for the second time she has been recognized for her hard work and dedication.

The Alabama Association of Municipal Clerks and Administrators annually recognizes a member of the organization whose accomplishments have made the most significant contribution to the AAMCA, to municipal government in Alabama, and to the clerk’s community municipality.

Recently, at the Association’s summer conference in Spanish Fort, Moore was announced as Alabama City Clerk of the Year. She won the award for the first time in 1999.

NOTE: I sent a copy of the minutes from the June Board of Director's Meeting to the Great Pepper's yesterday. It didn't include the attachments. Hopefully by Monday we will correct the problem and you will be able to view the minutes with the attachments on the CASI web page in the History section under Minutes -Board of Director's Meeting.

Have a GREAT CASI weekend. I am cooking this weekend for the first time in a month. I hope I have not forgotten how to make a pot of chili! Good Luck to each of you who are cooking this weekend.
