It's Thursday and we are in Johnson City and we're getting ready for Texas' Men's State.  The weatherman has promised rain.  We from West Texas do not know what that is.

I am sad to report the death of Ray King. No other information is available at the time.

From Becky Allen:
For those attending Men’s State this coming weekend, you will be able to enjoy Bloody Mary’s at registration Sat & Sun mornings, brought to you courtesy of McCormick’s Vodka, Demitri’s Bloody Mary Seasonings and The Buzzard Bar Cooking Team. Be sure and stop by and enjoy one to get your day started off right!

NOTE:
TICC seems far away, but it is time that your CASI Board of Directors get their plans started and completed for this event. It takes a lot of extra time to make sure everything is in place and will run smoothly.

One of those activities is selecting and preparing the Poster so that we can get it to the printer and then out to those people who want the information. Many are already starting their plans for attending TICC.

SO!!!! Get out those Art Supplies, dust them off. Put on your thinking cap and start designing your creation for this year's TICC Poster. See the rules below.

Poster Contest Guidelines

When designing the piece of art, please keep in mind that the poster is a vital element to the success of the event. The artwork that is chosen will not only become the official poster of the Terlingua International Chili Championship, but it will also possibly add to the development of the retail merchandise.

The artist should design an initial draft of poster artwork. If selected, the artist will work with CASI staff in making changes and developing the final piece.

Artwork must incorporate the following elements:

+ Name of Event: Terlingua International Chili Championship

+ Annual Designation: 46th Annual

+ Date of Event: November 3, 2012

Artist should keep in mind that the finished poster must also include the Sponsor Logos and pictures of the previous year’s winners.

Artist should design artwork with the use of bold colors.

Actual size of the finished poster must be 18” X 24” and artwork must be camera ready.

If selected, artist agrees to relinquish ownership of artwork.

If selected, artwork becomes the sole property of the Chili Appreciation Society International, Inc.

If selected, artist agrees to sign and number fifty (50) prints within 30 days of request.

Poster submissions must be mailed to the Executive Director by no later than May 1, 2012. Her contact information is: Janice Miller, 3014 Oak Mountain Trail, San Angelo, TX 76904. The email is garjans@suddenlink.net.
