If you are coming to Sugarland Saturday please be aware that the both Microsoft maps and Mapquest directions are incorrect. The park is South of US-59 on
We are also getting conflicting reports on whether or not we will have the Sugarland health department regulations to deal with or not. I was assured that it is not a problem (maybe because it is a charity event) then tonight I just got a message from a BBQ team that they had to deal with the same regulations a few weeks ago as we have when we cooked there in years past. Because we just don’t know I am suggesting that we all bring a fire extinguisher, a meat thermometer, and three tubs or bins for water, soapy water and chlorine bleach water (ask your local Boy Scout and he will explain it all) and food safe plastic gloves to handle the raw meat. I hope I am just crying wolf but with our prior experience and this new information from a recent event, better safe them sorry.
The event includes a 5K race and the promoter has asked that all cooks be in the park by 9 AM if possible. If not you may have a hard time because of road closers forced by the runners route.
Finally; please remember it is a 1 PM turn in.
 Hope to see you there.
