From Shirley Stateczny:

Sunday, Nancy Coultas was trying to put the awning down on their RV, and she fell and broke her wrist. (she was in Alpine) They had to airlift her to the Odessa hospital, where she had surgery for a compound fracture. She has to stay there for 3 days on antibiotics to make sure that she doesn’t get an infection in the bone. She is in quite a bit of pain today (Monday). I’m sure that she would appreciate e-mails and cards. Her e-mail is ncycoultas@aol.com.

I did talk to Nancy Yesterday. She is in a lot of pain. She sent Myrl back to Alpine. She is not up to phone calls yet. I will keep you posted.

From Kelly Brignon:

The NOW Pod held their first ever Last Chance CCO at the KJT Hall in Ennis this past Sunday. We are proud to announce that all three bean winners, as well as those benefiting from the cooks pot, donated their winnings back to the KJT Youth Group. We were able to present the Youth Group with $304.00 and a good time was had by all. Unfortunately, the lone cook needing one point was tied with 10th. Needless to say, a good time was had by all regardless of the outcome. The results:

Beans (9 Entries)

1st – Kelly Brignon
2nd – Mark Sanders
3rd – Blue Kriska

Chili (15 Entries)

1st – Ray Calhoun (He’s been on a roll!!!)
2nd – Mark Sanders
3rd – Vicki Sanders
4th – Spud Griffin
5th – Kelly Brignon
6th – Larry Wampler
7th – Shirley Sexton
8th – Gary Brignon
9th – Ron Baker
10th – Bill Swiegert

Thanks again to everyone who cooked, helped and supported our charity. (Kelly Brignon)
