This is from Sherry Mulbauer.

It's the start of a new week. As it gets warmer, there are lots of CASI activities. We sure would like to have seen the sun as we cooked in Del Rio on Sat Morning. It did come out for announcements. I want to thank Karen Bains and Barbara Herrin for helping us have a great show team. We had a great time, laughed a lot and got 3rd. What a show!

From Dave Hewlett:

Well a cool March day came and the St Pats Elks 2 day CCO time arrived. It was cool(cold) and damp both days. Some cooks cooked outside and some chickens cooked inside with me.

They did and they came in 8-9th and were tied and Colby cooking Stephanie’s spices beat Stephanie but he had to do it by a computer

From Sharon Pennell:

“Hey Ladies, as most of you may or may not know I will not be attending TLS this year. In order for the hat contest to be held this year we need someone to be in charge of this event. So if you are interested and would like to do this let me know and I will give you all the details; i.e. registrations, trophies, categories, etc. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Good luck and have fun at TLS.”

From Mama Sue Caffey:

ATTENTION ......ATTENTION.....ATTENTION.......... Gentlemen, we are having a Texas Mens' Hat Contest this year......We will have catergories for the mostoriginal, sexy, outrageous, and handsome. Now, before you start bellyaching, that time is short, so what.....Most of you will tell your other half to" fix up my hat if you want me to be in that contest." I know in my household, we probably won't have to decorateat tall.....Just decorate those hats and boys, now remember, keep it nice, cause we are a family group. Oh by the way, John Caffey is our lst contestant.I will tell him when he comes in from the barn. There have been comments from both cooks and visitors, that us girls seem to have more fun at TLS, than you do at TMS. Well, we are going to try to make it more fun for you. So get up off your ......couch and get creative. And be thankful you are alive and live in America. God Bless Us All and God Bless America. (I would be pleased to hear from you if you are entering, so I won't get fired. I have a new Boss this year and I just might be getting a raise.....:) Mama Sue Caffey

From Tonya Jester:
Hey! I’m putting out a feeler to see if anyone would be interested in coming to the Indianapolis area for a New Year’s Eve CCO.

If there is enough interest and commitment, I will pursue the search. Possibility would be we would have to guarantee a certain number of hotel rooms to get a facility for free.

Please let me know your thoughts, comments and if you would attend.
