I have had great response to this blog. I will try to make this a means of communication with all of our chili cooks.

I would like to share a note from Ken Large:
My good friends,
Although Barbara has been gradualy loosing her strength, she ate a good meal on Friday night and commented on how much she enjoyed it, she awoke Saturday morning and had suddenly lost her ability to communicate. We called an ambulance and took her to the ER in Odessa. Her doctor wanted to put her on a venilator for two days aa he suspected she may have an infection in the lungs and thought he might be able to treat it so that she might have a few more days. He said that if he couldn't he would send her home and he would call on Home Hospice to assure that she would he comfortable in her last days.
We are now anxiously awaiting his decision on Monday. I will keep you posted.
I ask that each of you keep Ken and Barbara in your prayers

A note from Renee Moore:
Due to unforeseen circumstances, two members of our group will not be able to attend the Daytona 500 on February 13-15 and need to sell their tickets. If you know of anyone who might be interested in attending, please have them contact me immediately.

The Saturday and Sunday tickets are in the Allison Terrace, Section J, Row 60, Seats 9 & 10. The price per ticket is $241.00.

The Friday truck race tickets are in Segrave Tower, Section D, Row 45, Seats 1-2. The price per ticket is $66.00.

We will be staying at Speedweeks Campground at the rate of $45 per night with no minimum nights required if you need a place to camp. We currently have two reservations at the campground, but I will release one next week if I don’t hear from any one.

Those who will be attending our Board of Directors Workshop on Sat in Irving, there will be many topics discussed to include planning for our next TICC. We will also talk about the CASI committees that are in place and are starting to function so that we can better serve our CASI members. There will also be a discussion on the completion of the Memorial Plaza. If any of you have concerns that you would like to express, please feel free to send them to me at garjans@suddenlink.net.
