At the Workshop on Saturday we will be discussing several items for this years TICC. This includes everything from our asssignments, to wristbands and the poster contest. We will also discuss our newly formed committees, who the members are and what jobs they will perform to assist in promoting and supporting CASI and the entire organization. If you would like for me to send you the items we will discuss, please email me and I will send them to you.

On Sunday, we will have our Winter Board meeting. We will ratify the minutes of the Board meeting on Friday at the Great Pepper's Meeting and the minutes from the election of the Board Officers. There will be the usual reports. We will select a Scholarship Administrator as will as select a place and a date for our Summer Board Meeting.

All of the meetings (Workshop and Board) will start at 8:00.

Saturday, March 14, 2009 - Scholarship Cook-off To benefit the Del Rio Chamber of Commerce and Convention & Visitors Bureau
Held at Broke Mill RV Park – 6069 Hwy 90 W – 830-422-2961 – Del Rio, Texas

The chili cook-off will be held in conjunction with the Bassmaster Elite Tournament held on Lake Amistad March 12-15, 2009. The televised fishing tournament will be shown on ESPN the following Saturday, March 22, 2009. ESPN camera crews will be filming throughout the cook-off and pictures will be shown on the jumbotrom during the awards presentation on the ESPN stage at prior to the angler’s weigh-in at 4:00 p.m.

Rules and Regulations
Entry Fee $20.00

1) There will be a cook’s supper beginning at 6:00 p.m. Friday, March 13, 2009. Meat will be provided and cooks are asked to bring a side dish.

2) All chili cooks must be in place by 9:00 a.m. Saturday morning and a cook’s meeting at 9:00 a.m.

3) Turn in will be on the porch of the Store at 1:00 p.m.

4) Trophies for 1st through 10th chili; Show from 1:30 -2:30 p.m. 1St place show will be awarded a 50’ houseboat trip for 2 nights/3days; 2nd place show will receive a day trip on a patio pontoon; 3rd place will receive a day trip on a deck cruiser. The prizes are courtesy of Lake Amistad Resort and Marina with a value of $2,600.00.

5) Trophies; trophy for further distance traveled; 1st place People’s Choice bring or cook extra chili; taster’s cup will sell for $5.00. Cook’s must provide their meats and supplies. All entries must be prepared and cooked outside on site. All cooks are to prepare and cook in as sanitary manner as possible. Cooking conditions are subject to inspection by the event staff at any given time.

6) CHILI GRIND ONLY/ NO BEANS

7) The head cook will be responsible for the conduct of his/her team and guests. Excessive use of alcoholic beverages and offensive language will be ground for disqualifications and removal. The event is geared toward families. We are here to have a good time but be respectful of the public.
