During our meeting this weekend, it was decided to start our Poster Contest earlier this year and have the deadline to enter be May 1, 2012.  Below you will find all the information concerning this contest.

Poster Contest Guidelines

When designing the piece of art, please keep in mind that the poster is a vital element to the success of the event. The artwork that is chosen will not only become the official poster of the Terlingua International Chili Championship, but it will also possibly add to the development of the retail merchandise.

The artist should design an initial draft of poster artwork. If selected, the artist will work with CASI staff in making changes and developing the final piece.

Artwork must incorporate the following elements:

+ Name of Event: Terlingua International Chili Championship

+ Annual Designation: 46th Annual

+ Date of Event: November 3, 2012

Artist should keep in mind that the finished poster must also include the Sponsor Logos and pictures of the previous year’s winners.

Artist should design artwork with the use of bold colors.

Actual size of the finished poster must be 18” X 24” and artwork must be camera ready.

If selected, artist agrees to relinquish ownership of artwork.

If selected, artwork becomes the sole property of the Chili Appreciation Society International, Inc.

If selected, artist agrees to sign and number fifty (50) prints within 30 days of request.

Poster submissions must be mailed to the Executive Director by no later than May 1, 2012. Her contact information is: Janice Miller, 3014 Oak Mountain Trail, San Angelo, TX 76904. The email is garjans@suddenlink.net.

From Carolyn Seelig and Connie Collier:
TEXAS LADIES STATE
and the
CASI SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
2012
It’s once again time to think about the Texas Ladies State CCO and your individual contributions to the CASI Scholarship Program for 2012.  Through your joint efforts, over $2,000.00 was raised last year and you were able to fund a technical school scholarship or one-half academic scholarship through the CASI Scholarship Program.  It was an awesome first-year showing of your dedication to strengthen and help guarantee the future success of the CASI Scholarship Program.  The deadline for your 2012 contributions will again be March 1st.  Notices will be posted on Ed’s Reflections.  Contribution Form is below and can be copied, and hopefully it will be posted on the CASI website.  Please feel welcome to encourage your friends to participate as an open invitation is extended to anyone who may be interested in joining the group for the first time in 2012.  Please call or email one of the contacts listed below if anyone has questions or wants information.  We need to add all new names to the group list as soon as possible.  Thank you.
