Our 8th Annual Toy for Tot's Cook Off has once again come and gone it was held Friday night 12-9-2011 at the Hog Creek Icehouse. Yes, it was cold, but not too windy. We had a nice tented area and a heater to do judging. We had 17 BRAVE souls who loyally came out again this year to cook. I want to truly THANK ALL WHO CAME OUT. Without YOU, we would NOT be able to do this. I also want to thank my head judge, Donna Conrad; my monitor, Doc Kinnison; my tally team, Lisa Stone, Becky Brown, and Donna Conrad. We even had this years TICC Champion, Larry Walton, in attendance ! We all had a great time... Now on to our winners!!!!

Then on Saturday, we held the 3rd Annual Darren Williams Memorial Cook Off 12-12-2011. It was also held at Hog Creek Icehouse. There was a silent auction and all proceeds will go to St. Jude's Hospital in his name .There was also a band later that evening and all the cooks got in free. The weather was a little nicer, and we were able to judge inside. Again I want to THANK ALL THE COOK WHO CAME OUT. A special thanks to my head judge, Donna Conrad; my monitor, Doc Kinnison (IT WAS ALSO HIS BIRTHDAY!!!!); my tally crew, John Caffey, Steve Ashman, and Donna Conrad. Our current TICC Champion, Larry Walton returned to cook. Now onto the winners.

Sunday brought our PROUD SPONSOR, TYSON'S, Cook Off, 12-11-11. It was also held at the Hog Creek Icehouse. Mr. Jim Shilling and his son were nice enough to attend this cook off. It goes to show you, one never knows when a SPONSOR may show up at YOUR cook off! He really enjoyed the cook off and being with the cook's. I AGAIN WANT TO THANK ALL WHO CAME OUT TO COOK! I want to thank my head judge, Donna Conrad; my Monitor, Doc Kinnison; my tally crew, John Caffey, Steve Ashman, Donna Conrad, and Lisa Stone; and Carrie Kinnison for her help. NOTE: The cut off date to submit something to be published in the TerlinguaPlocheck.
Mark your calendars for January 21. We will have our Winter CASI Board Workshop and Winter CASI Board Meeting. It will be held at the Irving Elks. We will start at 8:00 AM. We will try to do both meetings on the same day. If necessary, we will finish on Sunday Morning. All CASI members are welcomed and encouraged to attend. Hope to see you there!
