From Sharon Pinnell:
What a beautiful autumn day in Old Town Helotes for the 3rd Annual Market Place Days Chili Cook-off! About 2,000 folks wondered the streets and sampled chili as they talked to the cooks about CASI and cooking chili. I would like to say this day was uneventful, but unfortunately Charmaine Rogers tripped over her granddaughter and hit the pavement pretty hard injuring her right arm. Clyde had to take Charmaine to the Emergency Department (ER). Charmaine did not break her arm, but will be healing for many weeks to come. I wish her a speedy recovery. I would like to thank the tally group Tim LaLanne, Mary Ellen Gillen, Steve Nadeau and John Goforth for their great tally skills. Thanks to Debbie LaLanne as referee and head judge. Thanks to all the cooks for helping this event raise $1,106 for our charity. We had 28 registered cooks with 26 chilies turned in and the winners are:

Just shoot me an email (rmoore2142@att.net) with your name and address and your as good as sitting at the judging table. Thanks, and I'll see you in the desert!

From Jenny Windsor, TallyMaster:
We will allow folks to pick up contestant shirts for those unable to attend on Friday from 1pm-3pm. If you dont have your qualification card or cant get it to your designated person, just shoot me an email to let me know who you are sending. I am pretty flexible with this, you all earned the shirts so I wont make you jump through a bunch of hoops in order to get them.

Also, you must be a current (paid) CASI member to in order to get your shirt.
