After yesterday's posting, which was rather long, this should be short. I tried to capture everything sent to me last week and make sure that it was published. If I missed your item, I am sorry.

From Dave Hewlett:

The lone Oak CCO was a great success. We had 20 cooks and 10 beans. The site was under a steel structure and with a nice breeze the temperature was not too bad.

They raised $1118 for the Lone Oak VFD. There were many very good raffle items that many wanted to fight over. Especially the metal chicken made by a local vendor.

The sponsor did a very good job putting the CCO together and we all thank her for a job well done. She was D.J. Miller of Lone Oak.

From Johnye Harriman:
In honor of Colleen Wallace, I have established a "Virtual Lemonade Stand" where you can buy a glass of lemonade and make a donation to the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund. The site is co-sponsored by Electrolux vacuum cleaners and each donation enters you into a drawing (kind of secondary, don't you think?). Anyway, please note the box to select the amount of your donation. And, the site has the recipe for some great-sounding lemonades!
