Poster Contest Guidelines

When designing the piece of art, please keep in mind that the poster is a vital element to the success of the event. The artwork that is chosen will not only become the official poster of the Terlingua International Chili Championship, but it will also possibly add to the development of the retail merchandise.

The artist should design an initial draft of poster artwork. If selected, the artist will work with CASI staff in making changes and developing the final piece.

Artwork must incorporate the following elements:

+ Name of Event: Terlingua International Chili Championship

+ Annual Designation: 46^th Annual

+ Date of Event: November 3, 2012

Artist should keep in mind that the finished poster must also include the Sponsor Logos and pictures of the previous year’s winners.

 

Artist should design artwork with the use of bold colors.

Actual size of the finished poster must be 18” X 24” and artwork must be camera ready.

If selected, artist agrees to relinquish ownership of artwork.

 

If selected, artwork becomes the sole property of the Chili Appreciation Society International, Inc.

If selected, artist agrees to sign and number fifty (50) prints within 30 days of request.

I hope everybody had a Great Weekend.  I do hope that the tornados have not affected any of our Chili Family.  We have friends who live in Henryvile, IN.  We have had contact with them.  Their house was saved.  They have no idea when they will have electricity again.  Please keep all of the families affected by this storm in your prayers.

It was a good weekend for me.  I placed 1st in the American Legion Auxiliary Girl's State CCO in Odessa!!  It is my first 1st place in a couple of years and it QUALIFIED me!!!!

Rose City Pod - Tyler at Gander Mountain: Friday night there will be Kareoke fun for the early arrivals.  There is plenty of RV space, but no hookups.  We expect lots of public, so please bring any extra chili you have to serve for People's Choice. There will be 50 goody bags which includes an event t-shirts and a Tyler rose bush + lots more.    There will be a Fajita dinner Saturday, approx. 1 hour after announcements and there will be a band until 9:00. If you have not pre-paid, registration will open at 8:30 Saturday morning. We have had lots of TV and radio coverage and looking forward to having our current TICC champ, Larry Walton, with us this year. Gander Mountain is on Hwy 69, approx. 5 miles south of Loop 323.
