I received this email and would like to share it so that Nancy Bremer has the support of her CASI Family:

Because you're receiving this message, you must be a particularly special person in Nancy Bremer's life. Let me introduce myself: I'm Deb Hastings Watson, and Nancy has been my best friend for 35 years. She has done so much for me in my life; now it's time to give back to her.

In case you have not heard, Nancy has been diagnosed with breast cancer. She has had three biopsies in the past two weeks; two were benign and one was malignant. She is scheduled for a lumpectomy on Monday, February 28th. She will be off work the week of February 28th through March 4th, though it's possible she'll be gone an additional week. We're grateful for the support she's receiving from her friends at work.

As Nancy has so many family and friends who want to know what's going on, we have created a CaringBridge website. CaringBridge is a free, nonprofit web service that connects people experiencing a significant health challenge to their family and friends, making each health journey easier. Rather than have each person e-mail or call Nancy for updates about every step along the way, you can go to CaringBridge, register your name, and you'll receive an update every time we put new information up. This will relieve Nancy of having to tell the same story 63 times and will let her focus on her job now: resting and healing.

It's very easy to visit Nancy's CaringBridge site - all you have to remember is that her site name is none other than "nancybremer". You can visit in three easy ways:

1. Visit on the web by clicking the link below; this will take you directly to Nancy's site:
http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/nancybremer

2. If you go directly to the site, www.CaringBridge.org simply enter the site name (nancybremer) to go to her site

3. Visit on your mobile phone: (http://m.caringbridge.org/visit/nancybremer)

Nancy needs our love and support, and she needs our prayers. We trust you will be sharing all three with her in the coming months. With CaringBridge, you can:

Show your support

• Visit and keep up to date.
• Leave a message in the guestbook.
• Receive e-mail notifications when the journal is updated.

If you want to contact Nancy directly at home with a card or note, her mailing address is:

13576 Lord Sterling Place
Upper Marlboro, MD 20772

Thank you so much. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me directly.

From Ed Nesbitt:
Vern Gilpin and I are helping a local charity cook-off Sunday in the Sugarland, TX area for the family of a police officer killed in the line of duty. Local business' are paying $500.00 per team and we are going to use CASI rules to be sure all is fair. If anyone has some time at 1pm Sunday from that area we could really use some help with judging. Please call Vern at 713-598-1142 or Ed at 832-655-1551.

NOTE:
Here is wishing everybody "Luck" this weekend.  I could sure use it.  We will be leaving shortly for the Texas Open.  The weather is suppose to be "balmy."   Enjoy the last weekend in February!!  I know that Spring is on its way because the crocuses have popped their heads out of the ground and have pretty little flowers!  Remember:  Chili, Charity and Fun!
