Bob Coats, thank you for your comments regarding one of the initial winners of the CASI Pioneer Award, Carroll Shelby. Given his death was so close to the publication date of the Trails, your idea about honoring him is well taken. We are writing an article worthy of his stature for publication next month. As for funding Carroll's charity of choice, I would expect instead that CASI members would donate to the CASI Scholarship Fund in his honor, as is customary for honoring our Chili Family deaths in recent years.
