Here is an update regarding the cookoff at Outlaw Cigar
this weekend, April 28th. This is an auto
qualifier, and the Kansas State Open Chili Championship.
From Larry (Doc) Kinnison:1. Bring your extra throw down chili. Plan on making a separate pot of chili for the public, and there will be plenty of public to feed. (see below)2. Bring your canopy. Each canopy will be set up 12 feet apart, so bring weights and/or stakes to hold your canopy down in the wind. You will not be allowed to tie down to each other's canopy and need this space by order of the Overland Park Fire dept.3. Parking is available just to the North of Outlaw Cigar at the BBQ parking lot. Campers are welcome, but there are no hook ups. Please let us know if you are bringing a camper so we can communicate an approximate number.Chili Charity Fun and more fun!Out of town cooks consider staying at the Hawthorn Suites, 11400 College Boulevard, Overland Park, KS 66210 US
