From Jim Ezell:
If you are not cooking for cash at Traders Village this weekend, come on up to my house in Wichita Falls. We have 10 beautiful embroidered chairs to give away and plenty of cold beer. Plenty of RV parking beside the house. All proceeds go to the American Cancer Society through the Relay For Life.

Call me if I can help you with anything. 214 392 3499.  Jim Ezell

From David Richardson:
Hot Rodd who was Ken and Yolie Rodd's little dog passed away yesterday morning. The only dog I know of that has won a state showmanship championship. They got Hot Rodd when he was only a few days old. He looked like a little quivering rat. Lots of people in the chili world loved him. He would roll that soccer ball all day and at rapid pace. He knew where Ken kept the ball in the 5th wheel and he would jump and hit that door with his nose until Ken got the ball out. He was a Jack Russell Terrier or Rat Tail Terrier, I think. He was very small, white, and with black circles. People that hated dogs loved Hot Rodd.

Hot Rodd will be missed in the chili world. At most cookoffs the first question to Ken was "Where is Hot Rodd?".

He would have been 17 years old in September - and it seems just like yesterday he won the Alabama State in showmanship and that was 1995. Yolie mentioned how Don Reed use to ask all the time "Does Hot Rodd ever sleep" and we all laugh like hell.

I can't even think about how many times he did showmanship from Texas to Georgia (2nd place show in state champion also) to Florida, NC, MD. Funniest time was at a chili cookoff at Ft McNair in DC when the MP on the gate said couldn't bring a dog on post - Well he let us in finally if I agreed to keep him out to sight - The cookoff was on the grounds of the Officers Club and Hot Rodd did his show thing with the soccer ball and kids all running and kicking the ball with HOT RODD in the middle of it - the crowd loved it, he won show - and nothing was ever said about he should not be on Post - only dogs they let on Post were residents dogs - all officers and SGM's.
