From Dave Hewlett:

The wind blew, the weather was cool and cloudy but 24 brave cooks showed up to enjoy the CASI CCO and the nice day at the 6th annual Commerce, Tx CCO. There were many events to take part in and enjoy all the crowds that came to the events. One big event was the local chili challenge with a $1000 prize to the winner, 25 cooks entered that event won by Ken Swart. There were many bands that the crowds could enjoy and the events were a Brisket cook off, Salsa, CASI chili, local chili, Beans and others. The Commerce sponsor and staff did a good job and will make it even better next year. Thanks to Marty Cunningham, the sponsor, and her team for all the good work.

This may be the last posting for this week. We are leaving later today for Texas Ladies State. If I can find a place to get on line and post I will.

Spring is really in the air. There are a lot of CCOs this weekend. Hope each of you can find one to attend.
