“The 9th Annual Gingerbread House 3 Day CCO will kick off on Friday February 5th at the Ellis Co. Expo Center in Waxahachie, TX. Gates open at 10 am Friday morning for early arrivals. There is plenty of RV parking, no hook ups. Friday night will be our Annual No Frills CCO and 1st Place will receive a stove that only Wendell Rankin could paint! Turn in is at 8 pm, entry fee is $18 and Chili Grind Only. We will also have a stew and cornbread dinner for the cooks and the Mechanical Bull Contest will be going on for all you Bud and Sissy wanna-be’s! Saturday February 6th will be our 9th Annual Gingerbread House CCO. Turn in times for CASI, Novice and Junior Chili as well as Beans will be 1 pm. Entry fee for CASI Chili is $20, Novice Chili $16, Junior Chili and Beans $10 each, Chili Grind Only. 1st Place CASI Chili will receive a hand painted Wendell Rankin stove. Chili cooks receive free admission to the Benefit Barn Dance that evening at the Expo Center. Stick around and get those points as we will wrap up the weekend with the Annual Cotton Patch CCO on Sunday February 7th. Turn in time is 12 pm; entry fee is $18 and Chili Grind Only. This 3 day cook off benefits the Ellis County Childrens Advocacy Center. Last year we helped raise over $35,000 for this exceptional charity and we’d like to top that dollar amount this year. Please bring your tables as the Expo Center is no longer able to furnish them to the cooks. Indoor cooking is available. If you have extra throwdown chili to bring, the Advocacy Center can use it for their concession stand Friday night as well as any that the cooks would like to donate after the cook off. We will also be selling raffle tickets for a hand painted Wendell Rankin stove and for the Liquor/Wine Goody baskets donated by the professional drinkers of the NOW Pod! Please contact Kelly Brignon at kbrignon-tbdemo@sbcglobal.net or 469-628-8840 for information and/or directions. Hope to see everyone there!”

Spread the word!!!
This one wasn't sanctioned last year but will be this year! Awesome prizesand its for the Teen Shelter who is a division of the Childrens Aide Society- our charity for the Southwest Open...so please come support them:
Note this is a Sunday cookoff! It will be the same weekend as Relay For Life out at Jims, so you can come in and cook twice in one weekend and help two worthwhile charities....
