From Janie and Larry Burruss:
Do you have a passport? Do you like traveling with interesting people? There is still time to book a trip on the 25th Annual Mexico International Chili Cook Off Party Bus. There is always an abundance of food, fun, adult beverages and story telling.

The trip originates from San Marcos, at 8:00 a.m. on Friday, February 5, 2010 and returns on Sunday afternoon, February 7, 2010, which should allow enough time for you to be home in front of the TV in time for the "Super Bowl".

The cost of the total trip is $ 195.50/per person based on double occupancy. This includes the bus trip, with eats, drinks and entertainment down and back, Friday night buffet, Casino trip, table and chairs, meat (90/10 ground beef - 2 lbs), propane, breakfast buffet both mornings, trip back to the casino or to the market downtown or just hang-out in the hotel bar. Special (collector's item) cooks gift.

If you are interested we need to hear from you by February 1, 2010. Contact Larry or Janie at (512) 353-8895.

From Mel Fitzhenry:
Some new infor on Glynn, he has been moved to a new room, 308b, phone, 940-763-7941. Mom says he is improving slowly.

From Patsy Childress:
I just had a call from Mary Collier that Dianna and Bill had passed away. She said the person that had called her said that Bill had called the Sheriff’s office and said there had been a death. By the time they got to there house, they found both Bill and Dianna dead.

I don’t know any more than that at this time. Mary wanted me to let the “chili folks” know. Should she pass on anymore information, I will do so too.

I have learned that it was not murder from an outside source.

NOTE: My Dad's surgery did not go really well. They found an esophageal hernia which is so deep that it is the bleeding artery is touching the aorta. They were able to stop the bleeding for now, but if it starts again, there is really nothing they will be able to do because he has had too many surgeries in the last month and a half. We are trying to deal with it. My Dad is in good spirits and we have hired somebody to be with him the next 3 nights so that we can get some needed rest. Thanks for the prayers, emails calls, etc. Our chili family is the best.
