Roger Foltz sends this idea!
Woman Fights Off Intruders With Chili
TAZEWELL, Tenn. (May 18) - Up in Tazewell, Wanda Bray slings a mean bowl of chili. Quite literally.
Claiborne County Sheriff's Capt. David Honeycutt said Bray was confronted by men who broke into her home Tuesday night and she fought back by throwing what was described as "household objects" at them, including a bowl of homemade chili. Then, according to The Knoxville News Sentinel, the 58-year-old Bray went after the intruders with a broom. They fled. Police later arrested three men and charged them with the home invasion robbery and with a recent convenience store holdup. Honeycutt said the intruders demanded drugs from Bray and probably got away with a bottle of blood pressure pills.
A BIG congratulations to Terry Graves on Sat and Karen Bains on Sun for winning those CCOs. Terry had an extra special day, because he and his partner (Dennis Jackson) also won the 42 Tournament. And Karen has her first Bronze Thorpy. WAY TO GO.
A GREAT BIG thanks to Connie and Tim Collier for opening up their place and hosting this great Weekend!

The Moose CCO on the Flyer below is going to be a fun one - Saturday nite the cooks can stay to see Davin James.
He plays at Blanco's every once in a while and also played at TICC some years back.
Hope to see you.
There is room for RV's and there are a couple of hotels around the corner on the Beltway between Spencer and Fairmont - they are on Vista.

From Ron Barnes (Euless, TX)
I would like to thank everyone for their cards, flowers, plants and comforting thoughts and prayers during the difficult time of my Mother's passing. It makes me feel blessed to have as many friends as I do. Tina and I sincerely thank each and every one of you.

We are heading to Synder this afternoon. I hope to still have email, etc. Here's hoping for a great weekend of chili cooking for all of us. I know that some parts of the country are a little wet. I talked to Dixie Johnson yesterday and she said they were getting LOTS of rain. I asked her to send us some of that.
Have a GREAT Chili Day!!!!
