There will be a Pot Luck Supper both Saturday and Sunday evening with the meat furnished. There will be a Washer Tournament and 42 Tournaments. A great time for all. There is limited hookups in a beautiful little park.








Last Friday Cindy George was taken to the Snyder Hospital with difficult breathing. She was admitted. On Sunday she was transported to the hospital in Lubbock. They started the transport in an ambulance and had to stop and transport her by Starflight to Lubbock. Cindy had been diagnosed with congestive heart failure. She is currently in ICU but Larry said the fluid volume has decreased. She also has an enlarged heart. All can be treated. She will be in Lubbock for at least two days, Please keep Cindy and Larry in your prayers.

May 23, 2009-001 - Greenville, TX CASI. 2nd Annual Hunt County 4H Youth CCO Benefits 4H Campers and help the kids with expenses for their competitions. Join us for fun, raffles, activities & surprises. "Chili Head" Food Art Competition for youth, no entry fee. A cup of Chili will be available for purchase with a drink and chips for $5, handled by the 4H team. CASI chili turn in at 1 PM entry fee $20. May 24, 2009-005 - Tombstone, AZ CASI. Wyatt Earp Days/Paul Breyer Memorial CCO. Held on Allen Street in downtown Tombstone, right in front of the OK Corral. Entry fee $20. Turn-in 1 p.m. Will have a cooks party with a meal the night before at the Vigilante Hall. Charity is the Tombstone Lions Club. We'll cook on the street so need to bring canopies. Make checks payable to High Desert Pod. Come enjoy one of the best locations in CASI for a cookoff. Plenty of activities such as gunfights (re-enactments) in the street, old fashioned costume shows, raffles, lots of sight-seeing and shopping. Lets make the Tombstone streets run red with chili. NOTICE OF SPECIAL ELECTION

CASI BYLAW 5.07(b) states: If a vacancy occurs in an unexpired (Director’s) term with more than one year remaining in that term, the President shall call for a special election to fill the unexpired term. The election shall be held within sixty (60) days from the time the vacancy was created.

Notice is hereby given that on Wednesday, July 1, a special election will be held for the purpose of electing a Director to the unexpired term of Dorathy Williams. Said term expires in 2011.

All current Great Peppers and Board members will be authorized to participate in said election which will be conducted by mail ballot, said ballot to be returned to the CASI Executive Director by return mail with a U.S. postmark no later than July 10, 2009.
