DC "Big Dog" Hannah made everyone feel welcome, and as the cigar smoke cleared, and after all the raffle winners were called, this is how "Big Dog" put it, "We raised $540 after expenses- not bad for a day's worth of fun!"

The June Terlingua Trails boxes were sent with the mailing labels from April. I contacted Kerrville Daily Times and could not get verification of the error, but some of the people that emailed to say they got boxes they had not asked for matched the April list. Kerrville said they send the labels list to a temporary file until they are printed and then delete the file so they could not verify for sure. About a third of the boxes went to where they were supposed to go since some people were on both lists. By the time I figured out what happened and spoke with Kerrville, it was too late to redo the screw up without reprinting and re-mailing everything.

FYI -- James Dillard was head of the Silver Bullet Chili Team in the 1980s. James died last year. His sons Kirk and Mark were members of that team.Gail Dillard, wife of Kirk Dillard of the Silver Bullet Chili Team of Pasadena, Texas, died Friday morning June 12, 2009 after a long illness. Viewing and the funeral will be at the Rosewood Funeral Home 3939 Pasadena Blvd, Pasadena, TX 77503. (713) 920-2171. Viewing will be Sunday at 4:00 PM and services will be Monday at noon.

Well, we are still sitting in beautiful San Angelo. It looks like that maybe tomorrow we will get to fly out and go to Puerto Vallarta. Just 2 days late. That's better than nothing.

As many of you are aware due to a disagreement on the Board, Director Dorathy Williams submitted her letter of resignation. Prior to the resignation being formally accepted by the Board in a meeting, Director Williams withdrew the letter. At this time, the Board has determined that Director Williams will remain on the Board and the Special Election will be cancelled.

Your CASI Board is composed of a number of diverse and passionate individuals, whose main desire is to work for the good of CASI. The Board is unanimous in its desire to move forward and will work as a cohesive unit to ensure CASI is the best organization it can be.

This issue has been laid to rest and no further discussion will be conducted.

Here is the Draft Agenda for the CASI Board of Director's meeting in Little Rock on June 27.

I will do another post this afternoon if I have something to post and maybe a short one early tomorrow morning. We will leave early tomorrow and will be out of the country until June 19. I probably won't have computer access.

This afternoon in that post, I will be posting a draft agenda for the Board of Directors' Meeting which will be held on June 27 in Little Rock. The meeting will be held at the VFW Post 9095 at Kanis and Gamble Rd in Little Rock, Arkansas. We invite you to attend.
