Step back 100 years to the turn of the century and enjoy a beautiful fall day filled with fun for the whole family. CASI Chili Cook-off and one of East Texas' largest Classic Car Shows along with live entertainment on multiple stages, food, crafts, art show and bake sale, all set within the Old Pioneer Village comprised of 22 historical buildings. Kids can learn to make a horse shoe at the blacksmith shop while dad gets a haircut in the old fashion barbershop. Mom's just shop or relax and sip on some tea under the big pecan trees. $20 pre-registration entry fee and $25 on the day of event. $5 entry fee for juniors..so brings the kids and have the whole family cook up their best chili recipe. Closed to vehicles during CCO. Open chili turn-in is 1:00 PM and CASI turn-in is 2:00 PM. Entry fee $20. Bring lots of chili for tasting. Last year our crowd was over 3,000 people and every cook (again) ran out of chili. Tasting cups (sold by the cook-off) are a major fund raiser for the charity No RVs allowed on Main Street.
