The Texas Hill Country Pod is sponsoring their 18th Annual Pod Chili Cookoff this Saturday, December 4 in Waring, Tx. We will be judging CASI chili, beans, and green chili. There will be a cook’s party Friday night in the VFD heated hall. Also, Saturday night we will have our famous soup-off and Christmas decorating contest. There is room for RVs, but no hookups. There is a little store in Waring that makes great hamburgers if you want lunch on Friday or Saturday. It has moved across the street from where it was last year. The cookoff benefits the Waring VFD and other local charities. The weather should be great, so everyone come on out!
