The promoter has decided to cancel this cookoff. The venue is so isolated,
she did not feel they could draw any public, thus generating no revenue for
their organization. I would have to agree with her assessment of the situation.
They will try again next year.
There is still time to consider running for a Director Position on our CASI Board of Directors. The nomination package is located on the web page (www.casi.org) in the Resource Center. There are 4 positions up for election.
There is also the Scholarship Program Administrator Position up for nomination. The instructions for applying for this position is also found on the web page in the Resource Center.
If you have a Great Pepper (should have been Great Pepper during the 2011-2012 chili year) that you would like to nominate for Great Pepper of the Year, please send me a letter of nomination.
All of the above positions must send their nominations to me either by email or snail mail no later than August 15. If you are interested in a position, please check the job descriptions which are also located in the Resource Center.
Well, it's finally Friday! It's time to plan your weekend outing. There are lots of CCOs everywhere, so lots of places to go and have fun. Have a great weekend and stay cool. Pray for rain!
