From Kay Lefler:
A big THANK YOU to all the cooks that came to Gander Mountain Corsicana on May 22nd for the Dawg Daze of Summer Sooner CCO benefiting the Humane Society of Navarro County. We had good weather (except for that darn wind!) for cooks and canines alike. Congratulations to all. The results are in the mail!

To the Great Peppers:
Those of you for which I presently have working email addresses, should have received the Annual Report electronically. I sent it on May 24 and would like to hear from you by June 5 if you will accept an electronic version to complete and return to me by August 15. Those of you for who I do not have electronic address or if you have requested a paper copy, I will be sending them out after June 5. I will be looking for each of your responses in the very near future.
NOTE: For those who have requested an update from me, I am still taking an IV every morning as well as spending 2 hrs in the hyperbaric chamber. Tomorrow, the Dr is taking me to surgery to open my toe and take a biopsy of the tissue and the bone.
My father is still in the Nursing Home. He still cannot walk and at this point. probably will never walk again. He has his good days and his bad days. They have finally let him start having real food (a full liquid diet) and he tolerating this very well. Mother and I visit him everyday. He is a real fighter, but is getting tired and somewhat depressed. We take one day at a time.
Thanks to all of you who have included us in your prayers. Our CASI family is the best!
