We have lost a friend of CASI. Ernie Hays passed away Sunday morning. Services are Wednesday March 17th at Restland Funeral Home. He was an Irving Elk.

News from Alan Dean on Texas Men's State which will be held next weekend (March 27). We're continuing to progress toward next week's cookoff. The goodie bags will be impressive this year. The Johnson City merchants will be hanging chili pepper lights and posters in their windows to show support for the cookoff. Top ten winners (Saturday and Sunday) will also get a bottle of sparkling wine. All top ten winners on Sunday will get a silver Jeep Collins pepper.
A BIG Congratulations to Jennifer and Mike Sherfield! They are the adoptive parents of a little boy born March 15 at 5:33 AM!!

Registration begins Saturday, 8:00 a.m. Chili turn-in time is 1:00 p.m. Bring throw down chili for the crowd. Choice of grind. Entry fee is only $20.00!
