Just to let everybody know that the contributions to the Scholarship Fund for the Texas Ladies State campaign has already reached more than $2200.00. This is still happening and it is to be donated by March 1, 2012.
A big Thanks to Connie Collier and Carolyn Seelig for heading up this campaign. It has been really successful and will allow for more scholarships to be awarded.
The Scholarship Applications are in and are in the process of getting ready for the Scholarship Committee to review. This year there were 95 applicants for the Academic Scholarship and 6 for the Trade School Scholarships.
Here is a copy of the form for donations to Ladies State.

In the past several days I have received emails that have been sent with numerous people on the address line talking about a change in Military Funerals where Obama had it changed. I checked this out and it IS NOT TRUE - THIS has been going around since last October. While I am no fan of Obama, I feel sending something like this around certainly does not do our military families any good or veterans families either.
