A reminder that Traders` Village has stepped up to help chili cooks with a place to stay while at the Texas Open. To give cooks an additional hotel to choose from Traders` Village made arrangements with the Courtyard Marriott. It is located at 11603 Hwy 151. It is about 13 miles from the cook off. The reservation information is shown below. Hope to see all at Traders` Village for the 2nd annual Texas Open.
ANNOUNCEMENT:
I am announcing that I have decided not to run for a 3rd term as Executive Director for CASI. I have enjoyed my 4 years, but think it is time to encourage someone else to become the new Executive Director. A BIG thank you to all of you that have supported me these last 4 years. Without your help, I would not have been able to accomplish this job!
Poster Contest Guidelines
When designing the piece of art, please keep in mind that the poster is a vital element to the success of the event. The artwork that is chosen will not only become the official poster of the Terlingua International Chili Championship, but it will also possibly add to the development of the retail merchandise.
The artist should design an initial draft of poster artwork. If selected, the artist will work with CASI staff in making changes and developing the final piece.
Artwork must incorporate the following elements:
+ Name of Event: Terlingua International Chili Championship
+ Annual Designation: 46th Annual
+ Date of Event: November 3, 2012
Artist should keep in mind that the finished poster must also include the Sponsor Logos and pictures of the previous year’s winners.
Actual size of the finished poster must be 18” X 24” and artwork must be camera ready.
If selected, artist agrees to relinquish ownership of artwork.
If selected, artwork becomes the sole property of the Chili Appreciation Society International, Inc.
If selected, artist agrees to sign and number fifty (50) prints within 30 days of request.
Poster submissions must be mailed to the Executive Director by no later than May 1, 2012. Her contact information is: Janice Miller, 3014 Oak Mountain Trail, San Angelo, TX 76904. The email is garjans@suddenlink.net.
