Next Sunday is the Overland Park Elks CCO. This is an indoor cookoff. The Elks Lodge is located at 10201 W. 85th Street. Go east on 87th Street off of I- 35 for approximately 1/2 mile, then north on Switzer to 85th Street. Turn east to 10201 W. 85th Street. CASI RULES APPLY. CHILI GRIND ONLY. CASI chili turn- in at 1 pm with a $20.00 entry fee. (Unless you are a Elks member-$10) Pie competition at 11:00am with a $5.00 entry fee, (flier says 10:00AM- judging Pies will be at 11:00AM), and Salsa at 1:30 pm also $5.00.
This is the second year for this wonderful event. Also don't forget that the Elks will serve breakfast at 8:30AM. There is no set charge - tip jar donations in effect.
