Bert Centers passed away yesterday (Saturday) afternoon. Bert was 53 and had been pretty ill for the past year. Please keep twin brother Bret in your thoughts and prayers this holiday season.
CASI has lost a dedicated cook, the Chillini Pod has lost a valued member, and I have lost a friend. Bert will be missed by all who knew him.

I will be happy to answer your questions or just give you general San Miguel info. Those of you are joining us this year, I would like to ask that you go to our Chili and Charros website and click the link to sign up. Since we provide each entrant with 10 lbs of meat, a burner, a large propane bottle, tent, and table, it really helps to know in advance how many to expect. (you will need an adaptor to use the propane on your cookstove)
We are very excited to have more CASI cooks joining us this year. We have fabulous prizes for our non-CASI competitions, so you might want to sign up for everything!
