The 5th Annual H-E-B Georgetown Chili Cook Off was held Saturday, July 1. Yes it was HOT, but we had grass and shade trees to cook under, so it made it a LITTLE more bearable. We would most of all like to whole heartily thank ALL who came out to support the cook off. Without your support, it would not be possible! Thank you to my referee Billy Doss; my monitors Ken Rodd, Jessie Waguespack 7 Debbie Ashmam; my tally team Billy Doss, Steve Ashman, Donna Conrad,Debbie Ashman; and my table runner Neal Doss. If I have forgotten anyone, please forgive me. It is not my intention at all. Of course H-E-B wants us back again next year, so PLEASE folks marks it on your calendar.... Remember Becker's is also the same weekend. So make it a weekend event and reserve a site at Carefree RV Park or at the lake!!!!!! Now onto the results.....

Trying to contact Chuck (Rebel Yell chili). You left a very nice folding chair at the Denton CCO July 2. At least I think it's yours. Anyway, I have it and will take it to the Cooter Browns CCO in Burleson July 9. Or, call me at 817

There have been a large number of changes and additions since the Cooks Register was delivered in November 2010. If you have a Cook's Register and did not get the email with the PDF file, please contact me.
From Cindy George:
Hi Everyone!
Larry was in surgery from 8:31 am until 10:36 AM on Tuesday, June 28, and it went as expected with no surprises. He will be in recovery until tomorrow morning, and then I can go stay with him in his room. They only allowed me to visit with him about ten minutes, then sent me home. He is in pain, but that is to be expected. He will be in hospital a minimum of one week.
I will not be at my computer the rest of the week, as I do not want to take it to the hospital.
All prayers and positive thoughts are truly appreciated.
Love to All!
Carol West's Dad had a heart attack. Please keep Carol and her family in your prayers.
Hope everybody had a great 4th of July. Just a reminder that if you plan to attend the Great Pepper's meeting, please send in your registration and make reservations for your housing. The information for this meeting is on the web page (www.chili.org) in the Resource Center.
Poster Contest: Are you an artist? Do you want to share your talent with CASI? Then, please design a picture to be included on our posters for this years (45th) TICC. Your entry must be to me by July 15.
If you live in Canada and did not get your Terlingua Trails, this is due to the mail strike in your country.
