From Jenny Windsor:
After very careful reconsideration and developing a plan for "change" in how the TallyMaster position can work better for those of us who have full time career and family commitments, I want to stay and see the plan through. This plan would not be possible if not for the support of the current CASI Board of Directors. Thank you for your consideration and I look forward to seeing everyone at the GPM. Please feel free to email me with any questions: jennwindsor@gmail.com

From Lee Kroencke:

From Glenda Vrba:
As a CASI member and very active chili cook I feel the need to address the issue of the BOD deciding not to give the award for Newslettter of the Year 2011.

We as cooks, POD members and CASI members work very hard throughout the year for the benefit of the CASI organization and I feel we deserve any recognition the BOD can give us. Many do not need official recognition, sometimes a pat on the back will do just fine. However, those that do participate in the production and distribution of the Newsletters deserve a lot more than a just pat on the back. The newsletters are another way to get the world of CASI and chili cooking out to individuals in each small community.

If the decision to discontinue this award was made due to lack of funds, I am certain that we can work that out. If necessary at each CCO I attend I will personally donate $5.00 toward the purchase of the award plaque each year. Should that not raise enough money then I am willing to pass the bucket and beg for the remainder.

Not only, in my opinion, is it wrong to discontinue this award but to do it with only 3 months remaining in the chili year is just down right crazy. These people have worked very hard for 9 months to produce the newsletters… give them their due. Whether you have one contestant or 100 contestants each year should not be a determining factor either. If you want to discontinue it next year then put it to a vote among the GP’s and POD members.
