I received a message from Preston Shaw that his mother, Jean Shaw, passed away early Sunday evening. For years Jean traveled with Preston and Susie cooking chili under the team name of Crazy Legs Chili. Even at the young age of her early eighties , Jean was a very competitive chili cook placing five times in the top 10 at the Tennessee Ladies Championship and twice in the Tennessee State Open championship
A small family service and interment is scheduled for Wednesday, June 8 at the Lewis Cemetery, Hickory Ridge, Ark. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Jean’s church, 1st United Methodist Church, Parsons, TN or to CASI’s Scholarship Fund.
