Mar 24, 2012-001 - Tyler, TX CASI. Tyler Rotary Club 10th Annual CCO. Held at 4202 South Broadway, across from Tyler Broadway Square Mall, rain or shine. Registration begins Saturday 8 AM. Chili turn- in 1 PM. Bring throw down chili for the crowd. Entry fee is only $20. Choice of grind. Really neat prizes, plus a mystery prize, will be given for chili and showmanship. Mar 24, 2012-005 - Sugar Land, TX CASI. Grant-A-Starr CCO. Grant-A-Starr Foundation is hosting the first ever GASF Chili Cook-Off and Bean competition. It is an open event and interested cooks as well as seasoned "red" competitors are encouraged to participate. Located at Sugar Land Memorial Park, 15300 University Blvd., Sugar Land, TX. CASI entry fee is $20, and turn in is 1 PM. Beans entry fee is $10, and turn in is 11 AM. Come out and tune-up for the Texas Men's State Competition held 3/31. The Family Fun Run begins at 8:30 AM and the 5K race, which is certified by USATF, starts at 9:00 AM. Associated activities include food, beverages, music and a Kid's Zone. Proceeds of the GASF Race and Chili Cookoff provide ongoing financial support for research programs at Texas Children's Hospital and Children's Memorial Herman Hospital. VETS 4 PETS is a joint project of VFW Post 846 and its Ladies and Men's Auxiliaries whose mission is to provide or to help provide a service dog for a local veteran in need of a service dog. KSDS is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization providing canine assistance to individuals with disabilities located in Washington, KS. CASI Rules apply. Chili Grind only.
