A couple of weeks ago, I was contacted by the Odessa Paper about an article on chili. Connie Collier sent me the link to that article. It is http://www.oaoa.com/articles/chili-41950-good-cookoff.html Thanks to both Dave Boone and Gregg Wilson for helping out with this article. It came at a bad time for me.
From Bruce Stewart:
I want to thank every one that came up to the Mitchell Resort and RV park in Perrin TX to help the Adell- Whitt VFD. Theses guys work hard for their departments.
Cooks party Friday night and Breakfast Saturday morning.
We raised a little over $2900. Not bad for 40 cooks.

To all the Old 320 Members, in the next few weeks you will receive in the mail, a Motion that was made and Seconded at the Old 320 meeting in Terlingua. I would appreciate very much if you would respond with your comments, and your vote in a timely fashion. Please be watching for this.

NOTE: Thank you for all your support, prayers, calls, and the rest of the support that you have given my family and myself. My Father had his surgery on Friday. The bleed is from an ulcer on his esophageal artery which is against his aorta artery. They were able to cauterize a small part of it and stop the bleeding for now, but if it starts again, there is nothing they can do. He is doing fairly well. He is back up in a chair today for a small amount of time. He is a fighter. We have a long ways to go, but everyday is one step closer. We are all tired and worried, but we are making it one day at a time. We love you all.
