We have just arived home from Ruidoso, NM. We had a great weekend of Chili cooking and visiting. Rick and Karen Thomas did a super job. We had BBQ competition and Chili. There were lots of people attending the Car Show and the cooking competition. We gave away lots of Chili!

Chandler TX CASI Pow Wow Chili CCO. Winchester Park, Chandler, TX. Pow Wow festivities which draws over 5,000 people annually include parade, craft and food booths, entertainment, inflatibles, little britches rodeo and afternoon and evening circus. Traffic builds early so be at Park by 8:30. Hwy 315 which the park is on will close from around 9:45 until around 11 or until the parade is over. Registration begins at 8:00. Beans 50/50, turns in at noon, CASI (chili grind) at 1:00. Also great trophies for People's Choice. We ask that all cooks bring plenty of throwdown for tasting to start at 11:00. Goody bags for first 20 entries, cost $5.00 beans and $20.00 for CASI. Great prizes. Will also hold a raffle. From Tyler, Texas take Hwy 31W about 12 miles to Chandler. Turn left on Hwy 315 follow about 3/4 mile to Winchester Park on left. Friday arrivals OK. Special Parking area for contestants. No a Hook-ups. Please contact to make reservation.
