I am doing the Post tonight since we plan to leave in the morning for Crane, TX.

From Bud Barrick:
Please disseminate as far as you can that the Pod of the Pass Chili Society (El Paso) will once again be hosting "Bloody Mary Morning" on Saturday, November 7, 2009 at the TICC. His "spot" is located way up in front of the announcement stage/dance floor. The POP will serve nerve calming elixir until it's all gone free for the taking (and of course, the need).

From Wendell and Carole Rankin:
Anyone going to TICC & needing a room, contact us we have 2 available for Thu, Fri, & Sat night at Big Bend Motor Inn, appx $100 per night (Nov 5, 6 & 7) contact us at 817.269.2256 or 682.503.6785.

From Ken Peach:

One of our long time friends and a previous chili cook (before his wife died and he got cancer) died yesterday, Hans Person. He made the trip to Terlingua one time and had lived in Texas for a long time before he moved to Washington.

From Jim Ezell:

Republic National Distributing CO is sending 7 people and a motorhome to TICC this year. Republic through its combination with National is now the second largest spirits and wine distributor in the United States. I cannot emphasize enough how important it could be for CASI to make a favorable impression on these people. They already represent McCormick and Woodbridge. This could be a huge sponsorship for CASI.

We are also fortunate to have the participation of Glazers. With its marketing partnership with Southern Dist, Glazers is now the number one distributor of spirits and wine in the US.

Do what you can to get the word out to our membership to help us out. I am very proud we are dealing with companies that have tens of thousands of dollars available through hundreds of brands at their disposal. Look what the Bruce Foods and Woodbridge connections have meant to us. In this economy, our wellbeing depends on these valuable contributors.
