From Jim Stateczny:
I think we have refined the instructions for the Tally Printer Problem into 2 steps:
(1) Load all of the updates to Windows 7
(2) Load the current release of .Net Framework
From Dick Wagner:
Bo looked alot better today-vitals ok-c-papping & resting-pretty alert-got washed up sitting on side of bed-still on schedule for muscle overlap for Mon.
NOTE: Do not forget the toy collection for the children of Terlingua. Please bring them unwrapped. Also, remember the need for the food collection.
Cliff and I will be leaving for Terlingua tonight. If there is something that needs posted before we leave, I will make another post this afternoon. Will probably not have Wi-Fi service tomorrow, but should have it on Monday. To all of you traveling, please be careful and safe and we will see you in Terlingua.

Just a reminder The CTC Pod will have Pancakes Bacon and Sausage Breakfast Wed Morning Nov 3rd. ALL Donations will go towards the Scholarship Fund. Starting at about 8:30 until we run out or no one is left. Come on by and say Hello, or just eat and say nothing.
From Jim Stateczny:
I just spoke to the man that wrote the tally program and told him of the problem. He works for Microsoft, pretty high up, and while in Denmark he had some of his coworkers examine the problem. Like us, they could find nothing wrong. After visiting for a while we came up with the following solution and explanation:
(1) The tally program requires the use of .Net Framework.
(2) Windows 7 does not come with all of the parts of the .Net Framework, especially if the home version is being used.
(3) The first step is to do Windows Update and download all of the available updates. This may or may not fix the problem.
(4) If the problem persists, download the current version of .Net Framework. It would probably be a good idea to down load the frame work and do a complete install.
(5) The main thing is to get the Windows 7 operating system current.

Dear domino players,
We will need at least eight (8) sets of dominos at the tournament at TICC on November 2nd. If you can, please bring a set of (normal sized) dominos with you that evening. Please mark your domino boxes so that they can be identified. You'll each need to be responsible for your own dominos when you leave the tournament that evening. We'll help keep track of them all we can, but we cannot be responsible for lost sets of dominos.
I jokingly said "normal sized" dominos, because I can visualize someone showing up with a set of dominos that are too small for some of these old eyes to see and our fingers pick up. Also don't bring any expensive decorator sets or those that might have a lot of family sentimental value. Just plain plastic dominos will do us just fine.
As of this morning (Sunday) we have 11 teams entered, so if you know of anyone that is waiting around to sign up after they get to TICC ,please let them know that they would be better served if they contacted either Dave Boone thunderbird@apex2000.net - Cell Phone-432-631-0365] and/or Connie Collier collier@snydertx.com - Cell Phone-325-575-8282.

From John Billy:
I need you to tell your e-mail base that Stan Pitts is in Methodist Hospital, the transplant and specials group. He is having a kidney removed. He could use some friends support.

This was posted 3 hours ago from Happy
Just spoke with Stan Pitts, his kidney was removed yesterday and he's doing well. Still in pain but you'd have to expect that. Will probably go home tomorrow. Amazing, that big a surgery, even though it was laproscopic, and they release patience in 2 days.

Rose City Pod will once again sponsor the "goody bags" for the Terlingua school students. Please feel free to stop at our white bus and drop off any excess gifts and donations you have received. Aprons, even empty picture frames, we all love our prizes and trophies, baut we all know you can only take so many. Please have your stuff to us, either bring yourself or find a good hearted soul who will bring your bags for you by Thursday noon. I need you to tell your e-mail base that Stan Pitts is in Methodist Hospital, the transplant and specials group. He is having a kidney removed. He could use some friends support.
From Sherrie Davis:
This was posted 3 hours ago from Happy
Just spoke with Stan Pitts, his kidney was removed yesterday and he's doing well. Still in pain but you'd have to expect that. Will probably go home tomorrow. Amazing, that big a surgery, even though it was laproscopic, and they release patience in 2 days.

Please have your stuff to us, either bring yourself or find a good hearted soul who will bring your bags for you by Thursday noon. again a success. A Big Thank you to all that came out to join us. And to those that worked so hard to make it such a success. On Friday night we enjoyed delicious Hobo Stew prepared by Clyde Rogers andd Kenny Morgenroth. Both days of judging ran smoothly due to the hard work of Bob Steinle and Happy Hinman and Aida. The Tally team consisting of Clyde Rogers and crew did anther fine job. Saturday nights potluck was held at Kenny and Susie's motorhome so we thank them for their hospitality. Our referees did a great job as well. On Saturday the referee was Deb LaLanne and Sunday was Tracy Bond. Thanks to everyone that helped to make the Oct Fall Fest the event that it was. The SAP CASI Fall Fest Cook-off held in Bandera was once
again a success. OLD 320 MEMBERS
This is a reminder of the things that I would like for you to give your utmost attention to please and thank you.
· Registration will be open beginning at 10:00 A.M., Thursday . When you come to register to cook chili, please stop by and register and pick-up your Old 320 Badge while you are in the area. That’s where I will be set-up.
· If you are not using your Site to cook on this year, I would like to have your permission to use your Site for a cook that is not fortunate enough to have one to use. I’ve had a lot of request already from cooks that would like to cook in the 320 Area and need a Site to cook on. THIS IS GOOD NEWS.
· If you have already given personal permission to someone to use your Site – I need to know that too so as not to have any mix-ups again this year.
· Great Peppers of The PODS that have Old 320 Sites, please let me know who will be using the PODS Site.
Volunteers needed for Old 320 Area. I need help with marking off the Sites in the Old 320 Area. Workers, I will need you to be at the Site Area at 9:30 A.M., Wednesday 11/03. I’ve had very good workers each year and hopefully I can depend on you me again this year. I sincerely appreciate your help.
There will be an Old 320 Meeting, Friday, Nov. 5th, immediately following the announcements of the Scholarship Events Winners. The meeting will take place in the Judging Area. This is Alcalde election year. I would love to see a good turn-out for the meeting and election. AND BY THE WAY, I AM THROWING MY HAT IN THE RING FOR RELECTION AND WOULD APPRECIATE YOUR VOTE.

But, I assumed it was at the same place that it's always been so that's what I've been telling everyone. The correct location is Riverside Resort at 13190 FM 306. I just wanted to clear up any misunderstandings.
Please pass this information on to anyone planning to attend that I don't have an email address.
