Note: After a conversation with Lee Kroencke, I am glad to report that despite the weather and the fact that those camped at the Chaney State Park, Chaney, KS last weekend had to take shelter for quite a long time in the only secure shelter in the Park's Restroom, the cookoff went on and was successful. Chili cooks will do anything just to spend time together!!

It is time for the men to step up to the judging area and help out with Ladies State. It takes a lot of people
to monitor a cook-off this size. I have spoke with a few people but still need
a lot more men to help. Please contact me if you will monitor at janieb@alertservices.com or Larry at
home (512) 353-8895. Thanks for volunteering. We will see you next week.
